John Kelly, Irish painter and printmaker, 1932-2006

Press Cuttings Art

A sneak preview of John Kelly’s exhibition opening at the Project Gallery, Lower Abbey Street today, shows promise of an interesting show.

John Kelly has developed his own unique style, avoiding the vogue of “hard edge” in the last few years. His work has a soft, almost ethereal quality.

The current show is a collection of his latest pastel drawings – soft pinks, greys and blues with shadowy figures – they show both the artist’s technical skill and artistic ability.

Drawings start at£12 going up to about £40 for the larger works.

John Kelly is an artist worth watching, his exhibition well worth visiting.
